Local Government Victoria is part of the Department of Planning and Community Development. Local Government Victoria works co-operatively with Victoria’s 79 local councils to ensure that Victorians enjoy responsive and accountable local government services.

Our Minister
Minister Richard Wynne was elected as a member of the State of Victoria Legislative Assembly for Richmond in November 2006. He is the Minister for Local Government, Minister for Aboriginal Affairs and the Minister for Housing.
