Know Your Area
Know Your Area provides data about the people of an area and how they live. At present, it has current data relating to:
- Population (eg. projections, census data, erp's)
- Land (eg. lots released, dwelling approvals)
- Housing (eg. median house prices)
- Employment (eg. unemployment rates)
- Other facts about Local Government areas
- Links to DSE, DOI, DVC projects, local councils, libraries and other sites
It is a database that can be searched by:
- States
- Capital cities
- SDs (Statistical divisions)
- State regions include Victoria, Regional Victoria and Melbourne Metropolitan Area
- LGAs (Local government areas)
- SLAs (Statistical local areas)
- Suburbs
- Towns
Note: Some information types are not available for all geographic areas.
