Obtaining a Driver Accreditation

To drive a taxi, hire car, bus, special purpose vehicle or restricted hire car in Victoria, you must hold a Driver Accreditation as well as a Victorian Driver's Licence. This page outlines the two types of Driver Accreditation.

Types of Driver Accreditation

There are two types of Driver Accreditation:
  • A Driver Accreditation for metropolitan taxis or hire cars.
  • A Driver Accreditation for other commercial passenger vehicles, including country taxis and hire cars.
