Major causes of infringement in October 2009 (in no particular order)
  • Failing to wear uniform
  • Failure of holder of taxi-cab driver accreditation to display driver photo card in a position approved by the Director for the type of vehicle being driven
  • Driver of a taxi-cab operating a taxi-cab without a security camera
  • Stopped in a no stopping area
  • Failure of holder of driver accreditation to carry certificate of accreditation while driving in circumstances in which he or she is required to carry it under Division 6 of Part VI of the Transport Act 1983
  • Failing to attach signs eetc to taxi-cab or to attach as required
  • Use unsafe vehicles or use vehicles that has been modified or does not comply with registration standards or regulations
  • Perform unsafe U-turn
  • Stopped in a taxi zone
