Your application

Your application should contain a professional cover letter and your current resume.

Please note: Effective July 2007, you will not be required to address each of the key selection criteria as part of your job application.

Your cover letter should:
  • outline your suitability for the job
  • be limited to one page
  • succinctly outline your claims, by way of your achievements and results, against the key requirements of the role as contained in the position description

Your resume should:
  • contain accurate, succinct and relevant information supporting your claims for the advertised job
  • include your personal details, work experience and qualifications
  • be between 3-5 pages long
  • list 2 current referees including your current supervisor and/or previous supervisor

Tip:
A resume is a summary of your relevant employment history, achievements and qualifications. See our suggested resume format.

Interview

We conduct behavioural style interviews as part of our assessment process. This allows us to explore your experience against the key selection criteria for the job, as contained in the position description, and provides an insight into your behaviour in specific situations.

The interview is structured around the position description and will focus on your interests and motivations for applying and your relevant knowledge, skills and achievements.

The interview is conducted by a selection panel, which generally comprises three members.
